This cooperative was founded by 7 theatres working multilingually in Diyarbakır and the region. Its aim is to partner and stand in solidarity with organisations carrying out Kurdish-language theatre work in the region, to struggle together against the constant censorship and obstruction in the region, and to contribute to the sustainability of Kurdish theatre. SUSMA is a platform founded to counter restrictions on freedom of expression faced by communities and individuals working in culture, the arts and the media, such as censorship, self-censorship, bans, obstruction, isolation, smear campaigns and moral lynching; it aims to empower everyone in Türkiye, where freedom of expression is under threat, who values news, the right to information, art and literature, in short, expression, in the fight against censorship. On this platform, of which we are a member, our interviews, views and videos on the importance, difficulties and obstacles of making theatre in one's mother tongue were both published by the platform and added to its documentation.

Formed by 7 social cooperatives operating in different regions of Türkiye, the Cooperative Union Initiative (Kooperatif Birliği Girişimi) works to strengthen private theatres, improve production and practice processes in this field and foster a culture of solidarity.
